About this tool

Online application forms for exams, jobs and scholarships often reject photos and signatures over a fixed size, such as 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB. Choose To a size, enter the limit, and each image is brought under it while keeping as much quality as possible.

Compressing also removes hidden photo details such as the camera model and GPS location, which is useful before you share pictures publicly. Everything happens in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded.

Questions

Can I compress a photo to exactly 50 KB?

Yes. Choose To a size and enter 50. The image is saved as a JPG at or just under 50 KB. If lowering the quality isn't enough, the picture is also made slightly smaller in pixels.

Why is my PNG still large?

PNG keeps every pixel exactly, so it can't be compressed much. Save it as JPG or WebP for a far smaller file. Choose JPG if the image has no transparent areas.

Can I compress many images at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like. They all use the same settings and download together in a ZIP.
